Question about kill switch on 99 GSXL...

Are the kill switches coded to each particular model?

If so is going to a Seadoo dealer the only way to get a new key....thanks....

The DESS post (kill switch) is not particular to any one model other than by harness length (if that).

The MPEM has to be programed to recognize each key. If you swap the post but have the same key and MPEM, it will work.

Unless you know someone with a hand-held programmer you will have to go to the dealer to get a key setup for your boat.
