is there a trick to getting a prop off??
hi, im struggling to get my prop of my driveshaft.... tried to heat a bit but still wont work....
has any one got a litttle trick??

mr mac you need more heat and a 4ft scaff bar. you will need to hang off it, get some heat in the prop aswell

i had a 5ft bar and a gas trch on it for a bit but worried i would damage the shaft....i ripped the vice from the bench

I use a 3' pipe that was welded to the prop tool. Its not to bad, but it does almost require hanging from it. I have never had to heat anything... In this case its left handed threads so righty tighty will not work!

thanks all....its off
5-10min with gas torch and repositioning of the vice to allow the pump assembly to sit better on the bench. and my 5ft bar with me hanging on it... CLUNK CLUNK BANG AND THERE WE GO!!
it was sure tight
