Put the front most piston @ TDC , Pull the valve cover, and line up the marks 1503 with the top of the head, and lock the cam (with the tool),then lock the crank (with the tool) Drain all coolant from rideplate. Pull all hoses, and wires, bolts (8 head, and 2 small ones), and the cam chain tensioner out. Then pull the 3 allen screws out of the cam gear, and take the chain, gear, and head off.

It's not that bad after the first one...lol. I use bolts that fit in the holes to lock the cam, and crank. A short 1/4 " extension works for the cam, and I ground down the head of a bolt to a tapered point to fit the crank.

No first is pull the spark plugs, and try to spin the motor over to get the water out. Then spray some lube down the holes to keep the cyls from rusting up.
