Looking for a place to live within 30mins of Lyndhurst, NJ

So I may be considering a job that's located in Lyndhurst, NJ and I wanted to look at housing options.
Does anyone have any words of wisdom?

Welcome to the highest property taxes in Jersey!

Bergen county has some real nice areas to live same with essex county. But the property taxes are real high. I guess that can be said for anyone living within 30 minutes from New York City.

Probably renting since I don't know how log I will be there. I think the ski will stay in CT so I don't need a ton of space, just a place to park and sleep.

Open to both but probably an apartment. Something like 1-2 bed with a garage.

House would be nice but might be too expensive.

Right now my commutes are about 1-2 hours each way... I'm really looking to get away from that and have a nice 15 min ride to work. The amount of time I've wasted sitting in traffic is ridiculous!
