Exclamation Sea Doo Speedster 200 '08 Problem

    Hi guys.

I have an 08 speedster 200 430hp and some problems:
    1. Boat reach just 55 Mph with one person and 5 galon on tank. What is the problem? Speed was measured with stock speedometer.
    2. This model has metal or ceramique
    clutch washers?
    3. With these extra parts ( atached) how much increase speed?

    I think your just fine

It's well know that the stock speedo on any of the sportboats is really reference only. They just aren't very accurate. It's no more than a paddle wheel on your transom . The true measure is getting a GPS speed on that boat. Mine is stock and I've been 56 on Garmin GPS. Your not going to squeeze much more out of it. This was three in the boat and a full tank. Maybe add a MPH or two. Plenty of fun anything over 50 MPH.

Your boat will have the ceramic washers. I'm sure you've read all about them. Get them replaced and forget the worry of if or when they will blow out.

be for you do mods see what your speed is with a GPS my boat says 49mph to 51mph when the GPS has 58-59mph i have a 150 speedster 07 my mods are RIVA clucth washers, blow off valve, gen2 SC impeller, catch can, air intake, solas 14/19R

the gen2 inpeller made the most power. i did all the mods my self the hardest part is just working in the boat not a lot of rome. all riva parts come with verey good instructions. get those washers out of your boat if they go the moter has to be rebuilt

no it dosent make you go faster.

    RIVA
Our Blow-off Valve Kit improves supercharger reliability and performance by relieving unwanted pressure during off-throttle operation. Reduces supercharger clutch wear and eliminates heat soak in discharge tube. High-strength silicone hose with integrated blow-off valve installs easily in place of OEM elbow joint. Includes K&N filter to prevent debris from entering valve outlet. A simple and cost effective upgrade for both stock and modified supercharged engines. Includes all necessary mounting hardware and installation instructions.

Ok, I just built one of these for a customer, so my recommendations on your list is as follows......

#1--Leave the pump wedges off...This boat pops out of the water enough, why make it do that more!!!????
#2--What kind of hose are you going to use on the air filter??? There isnt enough room to just mount the filter on the SC and you need a adapter anyways...
#3--upgrading the SC washers to metal will give you no more performance, just he piece of mind that the ceramics wont break and hurt the motor
#4--And I wouldnt change the props yet, you dont have enough power..I just added 80 plus hp and still using stock props!!!!

Check out this thread for info

you will find all kinds of info there that I did to the boat.....
