'08 RXT will only go 51mph

It will only go 1mph and revs to about 6000 RPM. We were using the fat key. Any suggestions on where to start? Super charger maybe?

I would start at the pump and the carbon seal. Make sure the pump is clear of debris and check the carbon seal to make sure it is centered on the floating ring. Also make sure your impeller and wear ring are ok.

Change the plugs first. I had a similar issue and it was a fouled plug.

If the plugs don't fix it its prolly the charger.

Just changed the oil (level is perfect)
    New plugs
    Pump is perfect.

I am thinking the charger but it feels good. It rips up the the speed it hits but won't continue to rev.

squeeze the hose that goes from the supercharger to the intake manifold. then start it up and rev the engine. the hose should blow right up and you should not be able to hold it closed. If it does not then you have a bad supercharger ...is it only turning 6000-6500 rpm?

Check your charger FIRST always when something like this happens. If your sc washers let go every time your ride the ski you take a chance of damaging it further.

Re: '08 RXT will only go 51mph

I bet it's the supercharger by the symptoms I just had my second rxp charger fail just got the motor back in $2200 worth of damage washers destroyed both oil pumps but wait yours is a 08' you should have metal washers but I would still take the intake hose off and try to spin the impeller cause it does seem like a supercharger issue
