07 GP1300R D-Plate Questions
Ok, in doing the search I found the below thread. So am I correct in thinking the only thing I need to buy in order to convert from a Cat to D-Plate is the D-Plate?
Do I need the Riva efi controller or any other parts besides the D-Plate? Secondly, if I install the D-Plate and still have factory Oil Injection, can I start using other TCW3 oil such as Penzoil Marine 2 Stroke oil which is half the price of Yamalube?
Thanks in advance,

the 05 and above needs a home made chip to stop them all beeping, some dont need anything but im pretty sure you can use either 2k ohm or 10k ohm resistor in line to stop the BEEP
for the other part of your question... read first sticky "do i need a fuel controler"....its been covered and you may find it a good read

As Hydrotherapy says read "do i need efi controller". The EFI controller is usually only needed tho if you increase the timing
If you are installing the d plate tho you can use any 2 stroke oil in the ski and not just yamalube.

I will say it varies machine to machine if an EFI is required. When I installed my D-plate it bogged really bad on the bottom. I didn't really want to spend 350.00 on an EFI controller, so I had a piece of steel welded to the opening of the plate.
