    Strange wearring problems

I have a strange problem with my wearring.

The problem starterd after rebuilding my pumptunnel, with kevlar and carbon fiber.
I didn't remove the engine, the pumpshoe stayed in place.
Pumptunnel was rebuild to same dimensions and tru hull fitting wasn't moved.

When i install the 15/22r and the wearring in the pump, all is fine it spins free.

When i install the pump and start the engine it starts eating the wearring all around.(did this on my old wearring also which was installed already and run fine for 10hrs)
Tried 3 wearrings total and did a testride.
Bad cavitation due to the wearring problems.

This can be cause by a bad pumpbearing.
    Misaligned engine.
    Misaligned pumpshoe
    Bend driveshaft.
    Impeller unbalanced.

But i didn't remove the engine,i didn't remove the pumpshoe.
Basically i didn't do anything besides rebuilding my pumptunnel.

Gonna check my driveshaft if it's has the right tolerance.
Install a new bearring and oilseals.
    Align the engine.

And then test the wearring again.

I know what can cause the problems with the wearring, but everything was fine before the pumptunnel cracks.

Hopefully i will fix the problem ,but still very strange!!!!

When I installed my 15/22r it cut into the wearing but it doesn't cavitate. I understand some people break in a wear ring @ the ramp so when it does cut in it comes out smooth.

Believe me this is not normal breaking in,the impeller is melting the wearring and scraping it,the shape is not round for sure.

Have you checked the blades on your 15/22 ? They are not always the same pitch and one blade could be a bit wider/longer.

The impeller is running smooth, the problem starts when i install the pump on the ski and start the engine.
I checked the impeller looks fine .

look closely at your blades for a crack... it would be fine on the bench but at 8000 rpm it would flex outward.. just a thought ..or i would look real close at the pump berrings .....
