Arrow Just bought GP1200R for $500...what pipe is this?

I just bought a 2000 gp1200r....I'm new with these motors so can someone tell me what kind of exhaust this is? The kid I got it from said it's from Riva and has a D-plate......All I know is that a D-plate basically is like a block off for the cat.

Also the carbs have had the jet plugs drilled out and has individual air filters on each carb, and looks like an anodized velocity stack? that each filter is mounted on....also has an intake grate it looks like and prob a few other little things.

I bought it for $500 and the engine is supposed to have less than 3 hours on it (couldnt get it tuned right so left it and sat for years)..I pulled the plugs and the pistons have no carbon at all so im believing it...

    here's a pic...

Looks like a Stinger 1 pipe. Possibly a Stinger 2, but I'm leaning more towards S1

Look at the billet flange and it will say S1 or S2 or S3 stamped on it.

I have an OEM stinger You want to trade. You will get better top end out of the OEM pipe. Lee

I'm still learning about this motor so dont think i like bugging asking lots of questions....

Doesnt the stock pipe have the cat in it? I dont see how that would make me faster if so, and why would this have been put on if it makes it slower? also where is the billet flange im looking for? the exhaust or intake we're talking about? The kid said it was a stage 2 pipe but I want to see everything with my own eyes

OEM pipe is faster then the Riva stinger. There are a bunch of "supposedly" go-fast parts out there that will actually slow you down, this is one of them! The pipe will have better bottom end but will be down several mph up top. The cat has nothing to do with the stinger. You would run the D-plate you have with an OEM pipe. Sounds like a steal!

The ski needs some good lovin, theres paint over spray on it, spots that need to be repainted, seat cover, foot pads, and some other junk but either way its a deal....Here's another pic, yeah the kid had ripped all the stickers off too...its the millenium edition, whatever that means?

All 2000 GP1200R's were Millenium Editions.
