    My First Stand-up

I'm thinking about buying my first stand-up. I know absolutely nothing about them, any input would be great. I'm thinking about early to mid 90's, just something to play with. Should I go with a Kawasaki or Yamaha? What is the easiest and cheapest to work on?

The superjets are far more popular in the freestyle crowd but I personally think the kawaski is a better ski to learn on. Its bigger and has more power. In theory, it should be easier to get up on but thats JMO

96 Superjet is the best! Kawi is a wider deck than the Yami. Have fun!

A nice kawasaki 650sx for less than a grand is a good place to start, then to let your friends try on once you upgrade...

The new SXR's (03 to current) and the superjets rock.

I want one really bad, but don't want any more debt... I'd buy an SXR if I found the right one...

All good responses. Personally, I am waiting to see what happens with a 4 cycle just because I am that way...

    how old are you?

    how much do you weigh?

550s are a blast and really light weight...very unstable tho($500-700)

650s are easy to ride but are a bit heavier than the 440/550s..($650-1000)

750s+ are extremely simple to ride and pack a nice punch. but Tend to go for $1500-5000

my 550 does 41mph and cuts on a dime...im gonna stick with this until/if i ever decide to go 800

    I'm 29 about 150.

I don't understand why they are so hard to find local. I had a guy who was going to show me his 650 but at the last minute he decided to keep it.

Anyone know how expensive it is to ship a ski? I'm in Kansas City.
