X charger in 185hp GTX?
I have a friend with a good running 2004 185 hp GTX and he is considering putting in an X charger (and swapping the gear), but changing nothing else, stock exhaust, stock air intake, stock injectors, etc. I am not as familiar with the 185 hp setup, injector size, etc. Would it be safe on fueling with an X charger on the otherwise stock 185hp setup? Any idea on the increase in rpms/speed if anyone has done this?

The 185 dosent have an intercooler, I don't think.
If not, then that could be an issue with intake air temp.
If I'm wrong on IC then someone correct me.

Will need a 58 pound fuel pressure regulator too...and not sure how the prop would be affected. I'm not sure the 13/20 can be bent that much, so MAY require the RXT driveline/prop combo.
You are correct Steven.
Holler at Ray (Sundance)...I think he is running the hell out of his 185 WITHOUT an IC. I'm not sure what SC he is running though.

I think an intake mod is def something that needs to be addressed as well. I have an 06 rxp with 42lb injectors and an x charger and stage1 kit. my riva intake has somewhat colapsed from all of the air being sucked in.

What I am wondering whether the fueling on the 185hp ski will support just the X charger, with no other mods at all ...
