    Vibration

When I start my 2000 slx at idle, I have a vibration. When I give it a little gas the vibration goes away. I checked the prop and drive all seems good. Just wondering what the experts think? I thought maybe a carb adj.? Thanks

Does it vibrate in the water right at idle (1200-1300RPM), or a little higher around 2000 RPM?

There is a vibration in the 1200 engines around 2000-2200RPM.

Yes, right at start up and idle in water or out of water. Gas it a little and the vibration goes away. I was thinking maybe it just needed a tune. I just didn't want to damage anything else if it wasnt that. Thanks K447

The crank has offset crank webs throws on the crankshaft, I think you can get a crank made that have full circle webs instead of offset ones. Or is that just 1 type of engine that has that?

    Thats why it vibrates.

The domestic 1200 engines have the pork chop shaped crank webs, and they vibrate as shown in the video.

It is possible to assemble a more balanced 1200 crank by taking the crank webs from two of the 777cc engines, and making one full circle '1200' crank.

I think the 900 and 1050 domestic engines have full circle cranks, but the throw is shorter than what the 1200 engine uses.

The 777cc '800' engine has the same throw as the 1200, just minus one cylinder.
