Do I Need A New CrankCase (see photos)

Looks like the bottom end let go a caused some damage to the rotary housing plates on the case side as well as the intake side. What would be your remedy to fix this issue?

all I am seeing is 4 little chips on (what i think is PTO) side intake? Is that the damage?

If so clean that up so the RV slides past it and is smooth. Otherwise I dont see the problem...

I had the same damage a while back. Just take it to a machine shop and have them resuface it on a cnc machine. Whatever they take off to get it flat again have them take off the lip to maintain the clearence for the RV. Cost me $97 for a hour and a half labor.

would I do the same for the intake side or just replace the plate and the rotary valve cover too. What appears that happend was the lower connectiong rod bearing came apart and the little needle pins went everywhere until the motor siezed. I haven't cracked the case as of yet so I may need a case. If anyone has one for sale let me know the price your trying to sell it for. I was told that if I don't have the damage repaired on the RV I would get major blow by.

The clearance specs between the lip and RV surface are in your manual. No sense trashing an otherwise good set of cases...
