    1100 Raider carb settings w/FA's

I have a 96' 1100 Raider and added primer kit, removed butterflies, added Ocean Pro flamer arrestors last season. It runs OK but it could be better.

I've read numerous opinions from all over, so why not hear some more:

Yes or No on using stock jetting?
How many turns on the lows?
    How many on the highs?

    Raider

I vote no for stock jetting. As the highs and lows settings Im not 100% on this setup. Did you check archives for specs?

    Opinions vary

I've check this site and others. It's a mixed bag of opinions. Some say stock jetting, others say they must be changed. It's confoosing.

Change from the 1.2 N/S to the 1.5

Raise all jets up 1 jet ..."5" points and remove the stagger since it was designed that way because of the stock OEM airbox restrictions. I believe the center carb is a 97.5 pilot with 115 mains on all 3 while the outside jets are 100s for pilots ?

I would start with lows at 1 1/4 and High speed at 1 1/2 and go from there based of tach RPM

It should already have the 1.5 n/s. I went with the black spring for the pop off on all 3 carbs and changed all the high speed jets to 110. Lows are all the same size and can stay being 75s.

Start with the high speed needles at 2 turns and the low speed at 1 1/4.

I was set up to run right near sea level with Ocean Pro flame arrestors.

5 point jump would be plenty on a stock machine...and stock they came with 1.2 N/S not 1.5

You are correct on the n/s Mikey, my bad.

My jetting worked well for me, even after I installed a ProTec rec. head.

Thanks guys. I went through my spare parts this weekend and found 120 high jets. I think I need some reading glasses. Those little stamped numbers are getting hard to read. I'm going to place an order for an assortment of carb stuff.
