    SUV Pisser

When on the water hose will water come out of the pisser on a yamaha SUV?

Pretty sure it's tapped into the pump output, meaning it has to be in the water for it to work....but not sure....you should have some coming out of the exhaust tho

water comes out of exhaust. Pisser works only in water. Thanks for reply

Water comes out, but not as much as when you have it in the water.

What would it mean if less water comes out the pisser when it is in the water than when it is on the hose?

I would never challenge the word of OSideBill, but the pisser, i.e. visibility spout, is hooked up to the discharge side of the pump and only works when the machine is in the water under power. I cannot see in the manual how water would flow to it when flushing?? But then again anything is possible.

By the way Oside, nice avatar!

this is not refering to the visability spout... The pisser is where the water that cools the engine is drained out of the small through-hole fitting on the front side of the ski. They are connected to the head.

Any ideas why you would get less water out of the pisser when the ski is in the water compared to on the hose?

kaarona, i think you got it a little backwards you might have just misunderstood Osidebill statementThe water that just cooled the engine leaves the pisser (its warm). The prop spinning in the water at a very high speed 6500-7300 rpms, its going to create more water pressure through pump strainer and run its constant cycle through the engine jackets and exhaust jackets and out the pisser. The garden hose is no where near the amount of water or water pressure, especially running just idle, its comes out more of a pouring fashion than a high pressure spray

My bad, makes sense. Anytime I flush my motor with the hose I never saw water leaving the "pissers".
