fzr/fzs ecu - closed or open loop

does the ecu in these latest skis run in open or closed loop, or a combination of both?

most older vehicle control systems run in open loop under certain conditions while closed loop in others, while the latest engine control systems run in closed loop 100% of the time.

No O2 sensor on a stock ski for feedback.

    Open loop.

Yes, I believe so. No MAF so it's a speed density setup.

There a lot of people who know more on the subject than me, hopefully someone else can verify.

It's a good thing that it doesn't run in closed loop. I am in the process of wiring up an AEM. Still looking for connectors to avoid cutting up the stock harness.

That has got to be some what of a pain. Sure would be helpful to have part numbers/sources for various reasons though.

Ahhhh hitman, you make me smile
Whats it going to take to get you into a MoTeC
I know I will be able to retire a happy man the day I see you with one.
Retirement is a long way off and I dont see my dream comming true in the near future. but thats ok.

    Keep up the good work.

If you need a connector I may be able to find a reject one around here somewhere.

    Cheers

i'm sure the fact that aem costs half has nothing to do with his project...
