    Power loss

Ok trying to figure out why i lost 10mph

to recap max rpm is 5500 rpm and around 49mph

i checked spark in all cylinders good to go there i just ran it and one thing i noticed is the far back cylinder was a little cooler than the others and another thing i noticed is the spark plugs in there are

    NGK BR9ES Spark Plug

What came out before the tune up was

    NGK BR8ES Spark Plug

I have yet to reach top speed or RPM since the change of the spark plugs as well...

    is this an issue?

Arrow Spark plug specifications - some models specify the projected tip, some don't...

What year and model do you have?
<== Update your Profile to make your PWC info visible

What spark plugs are supposed to be in it?
What does the Owner's manual specify?

    Compression check?

The service manual for the 2000 Pro 1200 says NGK BR9ES
The 2001 service manual for the Pro 1200 says NGK BPR9ES

I am wondering if the spark plugs specified in the 2000 or 2001 service manual are incorrect...

Not sure if your ski requires the 8es's but if it does you should switch back.

From what i can tell it requires the 9's but it ran FAST AND STRONG before the 9's were put in and of course since the jetpump died on me...

ill swap to the 8's and see what happens...

    Compression check?

I think I said this in your other thread that you started.http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...=127998&page=3

Try and keep one post so that people can see what you have done and tried.

COMPRESSION CHECK THE ENGINE AND POST UP THE READING THAT YOU GET! What you think is good might be low.
just use br9es in that pwc....they work great and if you can't get a 9 you can use a br8es...don't use a P series plug with this pump gas that they sell us...

I'm curios, you say you lost 10mph after some pump work? Is the wedge installed up-side down? What was actually done to the pump.
I doubt plugs will bring you down 10 mph but check the plug gap.
Is the engine cutting out at rpm or just runs out of speed?

Since you did pump work, did you verify the speedo tube didn't get kinked or that the pitot tube got turned sideways?
Maybe the RPM's are O.K. and the speedo picked up debris and it's not acurate. Have a GPS handy?

not going to lie i have no idea what any of that stuff is! lol (speedo or pitot)

but i can tell you this before the pump went bad this thing would almost throw you off the back now there is a big loss in tourqe

also it would haul ass past my GF's Seadoo GTX hers tops at 52ish and i cant keep up with her anymore. so the speed and rpm are accurate (well at least close enough)

    about the pump

Jetpump housing (wearring), Stator and impeller all replaced.

if it is not aligned could it cause that loss of power?

What is the gap between the impeller and wear ring?
    Have a photo of it?
If you have a pump wedge, did you install it thick end down?

"speedo" means the speedometer on your ski!

"pitot" means the small shark fin looking piece inside the intake grate area.. It has a small hole in the front of it. the speedo works off pressure, the more pressure against it in the water, the faster your going.. thats how it tells you what speed your going.. if its angled, it will cut down on MPH. Theres a tube that goes from the back of the pitot tube to the MFD and hooks onto a nipple on the gauge. make sure the pitot tube has the hole in it facing forward and it tight.

you could blow the tube also and see if its tight with no loss of pressure in the line.

    It's called a "dream-o-meter" too.lol use a gps, way more accurate..
