    2000 GP800 Problems

I've got a GP800, last week it started running rough. I replaced the plugs and no change. I can pour premix in the spark plug holes and it runs fine for a few seconds. So I sent the carbs to Jetski solutions for a rebuild. I've reinstalled the carbs and now it won't start at all unless I add premix throught the spark plug holes. Any ideas on what else I should check?

What is your compression? do you have a new fuel filter? are the fuel lines free from obstructions?

I haven't checked the compression. Fuel filter is new and lines are free from obstruction. Could it be possible that the carbs need adjusted?

No JSS does a good job they are empty and need to get fuel to them though. pull the return to tank line and put a hose on the fitting coming from the carb run the hose into a jar pull the spark plug wires off then crank the ski until you get fuel flowing into the carbs. then reconnect everything and try again.

The carbs are pumping fuel. Could it be the reeds? How do I check them?

How many hours are on the 'ski?

around 130. I removed the reeds everything looked fine. I cleaned them anyway. Still won't start. I'm completely stumped.

Do you have spark? Spark, Compression, Fuel, figure out which is missing and then the problem can be solved.

First thing I checked is spark. There was a puddle of gas on the reeds when I removed them. It almost acts like a stuck needle. Almost has to be a fueling issue because it runs fine when I put premix in the spark plug holes. It will also run on starting fluid sprayed in the carbs. Other than rebuilding the carbs again, I'm completely lost. So, I'm going to take it to the shop in the morning. I know its going to be something I'm overlooking but its the wife's ski and she really wants to get it back on the water.
