8 Vane Stator
So, what exactly would it take to make an 8 vane to squirt??
And no, "8 vane" isn't code for "your girlfriend."

Or are you talking about a rooster tail?

No, like what power does it take. Randy's 8 vane sure looks mint on eBay.

Ahhhh, I don't use one on anything with less than 140HP but you will notice a small loss in top speed and keep the pump better loaded in ugly water.
If you have in the 160-200Hp range it will flat out hook up much better and you barely notice any top speed loss...I'm thinking 1-2 MPH??
Your PRO would LOVE it!!!

Isn't that 8 vane you have a smaller diameter than stock??

Yep, its a 146 mm and I have a 146 mm 12/17 to use with it,, just will need to bevel the edge on the pump 45 degrees so it flows smoothly with the wear ring.. it should work good. its smaller so it will take less to fill and the 8 vanes take up more the space too..
Probably still need more horsepower to run it though..
maybe after I dial in the ski correctly, I could swap and see how it acts..
