160mm Wear Ring Question with Pics
Are you guys that are running the 160mm setup making any changes to the ride shoe?
I guess it's the ride shoe, it's the part the wear ring bolts too.
As you can see in the pics the shoe covers a lot of the pump inlet area and leaves a big step in the transition from the shoe to the wear ring.
The front of the shoe could only be opened up maybe 1-2mm and taper back to the 160mm opening.
I saw that Dan bored his all the way through but then you have to sand the hull to fix the front which I'm not gonna do so anyone see any reason not to open the front a small amount and make it match the wear ring?

Yes, i'm happy with the way it came out. If you have access to a machine then it will save you a lot of time.
