    Newb Asking for advice

    Hey Guys,

First time skier, I've been out a couple times this year and last week, When I docked my ski, I put a small chip in the gel coat right on the top of the ski near the back, on the edge above the bumpers. It's tiny about the size of a penny, and I can see fiberglass, But from what it looks like no damage. My Question is, Should I fix it right away with Gelcoat repair kit? or Should I just wait till the end of the season and have a pro touch it up?

    Thanks,

You need to fix it right away before water soaks into the fiberglass.

Yeah, not a hard fix, and you want the ski to look good as well.

For a quick repair....dab a little clear nail polish on the spot.

    It works.

Any boat center will have a Gelcoat repair kit. Inexpensive!
