engine will not turn over
I have a 2005 seadoo GTI LE RFI.
Engine only turned over if I bypassed the starter relay.
After replacing the relay however, I hear the starter engage but engine still does not turn over.
Could I have ordered a bad relay or could it be something else?
Battery and starter are ok.

Well there are two sides to a relay. What do you mean you bypassed? Did you just jump across the battery terminals or did you try jumping power to the start button side of the relay? Do you see where I'm going with this? The start button sends a signal to the mpem ( I think in your case it may be called an ECU. RFI's are diff.) which in turns outputs to the starter relay. Jump battery power to the signal side of the relay and see what happens. If it turns over then you have a different problem. You need to see what kind of voltage you are getting to the relay and trouble shoot the start button circuit. Isolate out every possible thing before suspecting the most expensive.
