    RXP-X flame arrestor question

    What is the flame arrestor do on my '09 RXP-X? What is the advantage of removing it?

    No way it was 100rpm's for me MAYBE 20 rpm but that's it. If you have the manifold off then do it but don't take it off to do the mod.

    IMO it would be foolish to not take it, the manifold, off when doing the mod. unless you have 100% undoubted faith in yourself to not leave 1 scrap of any size at all in the manifold.....

    deff. take it off... and wash it out extremely well, a piece of that sucker getting onto a piston would not be a good thing...

    Yes I agree it should come off when pulling it off. What I was trying to say is dont waste your time doing the mod unless the manifold was off anyway.

    There is no way it is worth 100rpm's.
