50lb injectors with x-charger - need help on RRFPR setting!
Anyone running a stage III Rxp with x-charger and 50lb injectors?
I have the riva ecu and 15/20 prop...
I cant seem to get the base PSI correct to avoid alot of blow by
setting base pressure to 54psi gives alot of blow by where if i set to around 42-44psi it doesnt but i lose rpms...
trying to an idea what others might be running

you really shouldnt need that RRFPR, the Riva ECU can handle a X charger and even a Riva Pro X wheel, its good till about 13.5 psi so i would have the Fuel pressure set at stock 58psi.

I ran a full summer with Riva ECU, valvesprings, stock X charger and Riva 50 lb injectors. Also had rear air, GH box, 15/20, etc. Ran great, best of 81.5 mph, virtually nothing in the catch can at all. You should not need a RRFPR at all ... what exactly is in the catch can? Mostly oil? Mostly gas? What exact 50 lb injectors do you have? List your exact setup, air intake, etc, something does not sound right.

I have riva ecu, valve train upgrade, stock x charger, 4in kanaflex, modified waterbox, 15/20, etc.... The only thing is i have no idea on the make of the injectors, they were purchased from someone a long time ago ....
in the catch can it seem a mix of gas/oil

Hmmm, OK, maybe take an injector out, look for the numbers on it, and post that plus a picture and maybe we can ID the injectors. Some thing does not sound right ... I think your setup is great, when I was running that (with Riva 50s), the ski ran great top to bottom.
How does it start? How does it idle, what rpms and is it steady/smooth? How is low rpm (2700ish range) - smooth or a bit rough? What rpms are you getting at WOT? What nozzle ring/size?
If your oil is overfilled, you will have mostly oil in your catch can ... if its rich, its quite watery and mostly gas (and is a great fire starter when poured on logs for a campfire ).
Just guessing, but it sounds like you are rich at 54 lbs, and lean at 42 lbs pressure ... maybe keep it at 50 lbs pressure until you figure it out.
I am now running the ET137 3mm X charger SC upgrade and it runs great on the Riva 50s ... wondered how it would run with 55s ... put them in, and the idle was a bit rough, definitely rich, 2700ish rpms was still a little rough/rich, ran good at WOT, but was down a good 100 rpms (likely rich). Still, after running a tank of gas thru it with the 55s and having it be rich, I had maybe a half teaspoon in the catch can ... virtually nothing really. Put the 50s back in, idle perfect, runs great, pulled 8550 rpms last time out.

+1 x charger riva ecu and 50 is fine just as others have posted. ran it before the rude 3... you will need more prop when it gets colder.. riva ecu riva 50 s was fine even in the cold ..no need for bigger injectors...ski was goin 81 double up...it was cold..like 65 deg w 55 water...but it was flyin..

from day 1 i was told this was a 50lb injector setup...
So on the injector says:
from looking around online i found this:
42# injector 17113813
50# injector 17113738
55# injector 17113841
seems this is a 42lb injector?
if so, what pressure should i be using?

if you are using a riva ecu and 42# your map iS all wrong...the ecu is designed to run on 50s with 42# you will be way lean every where...just get some bosh 50# and set the base pressure at 58 disconnect the referance line and you will be spot on ...
on a rxp you should be at 80 ..in good weather and water temps...not stupid hot ...

i HAVE to disagree on the bosh and 58psi at idle. aint happenin' i spent many many (frustrated) hrs messing w/ the riva ecu and those bosh injectors. 58psi at idle and the bosh bad boys flow so good you'll most likely barely run it will be so rich. i had to set my base at like 40psi with the bosh to get the afr in the 12's. that riva ecu is mapped for the delphi (riva) injectors and their flow rates. once i took my bosh injectors out and put the rivas (delphi) in headache GONE!
and thats my .02

Yep, my 48s with riva ecu im at 57lbs. 11.4 idle 12.5 mid 11.9 wot I'm wondering if I should swap mine???
