    New Member: Technical Question

    Hello everyone,

I have had my 2004 RXP since new and within the last 2 years have started some mods slowly. I have always researched on the forums before any mods.

Up until last week my mods were:
    Ceramic Washers
    RIVA O.P.A.S. Performance Block-off Kit
    RIVA Pro-Series Sponson Kit
    RIVA Performance Power Filter Kit
    RIVA Rear Exhaust Kit
    RIVA Pump Wedge
    RIVA RXP Top-Loader Intake Grate

My top speed would say 70MPH and rpm's at 8050

    ADDED THIS WEEK:
RIVA / Vortech 'GEN-2' Supercharger Impeller
    Solas-Series Concord Impeller (SRX-CD-15/20R)

NOW - Top speed is till 70MPH (Think thats the max it shows) but my RPM's stop at 7700!!!!

What could be the cause of this issue and how can I fix it?

    Thanks everyone for your help!

First off i would like to welcome you to GH...Glad to have you on board!!!

Are you using the speedometer to measure your speeds???If so your speedo tops out at 70..youll never see a speed higher than that on your speedo.....Youll need to get a GPS to record your actual speeds...

Second i see you have ceramic washers listed as a mod..Is that suppost to be metal washers or do you really still have the ceramics in your Scer???If so get them out ASAP..ceramics and Scers do not go well togeher

I think you may need to let it breathe better, and just a little more fuel will pull this up to power for you.

14/19 would be a better bet with this setup you have.

It appears to be over-propped just a little, and combined with warmer weather, it just may be a bit too much.

    True..

GPS for real numbers is always a good way to go.

A before and after set of number will reveal a lot.

If u had a 4" air intake, and an external intercooler, u would be better suited for that prop. U could de-pitch it some, or have it pitched to get some rpms up a little higher. Also your charger should be checked for proper slip, and metal clutch washers are needed to be safe.

I beg to differ...I would stick with the 15/20 and de-pitch it some(He should have went with or stuck with the 14/19 till he gets a better air intake and external ICer)...Hes not running enough mods to push the 15/19 or a 15/20 efficiently IMO...

Thanks everyone for the great advice!

I know you guys know your stuff!

I know psycho rxp is probably right. I need a 4" air intake, and an external intercooler would probably help it breathe much better.

I did switch them to metel, I got confused with the ceramic.

JonnyRXT: I'm going to play with this set up alittle, if its not to my liking I will send you a PM on a swap.

    Thanks Everyone!
