I sucked up a rope.
How do I get the rope out and what damage did I probably do? Darn if it wasn't my own rope too.

Is the ski back on the trailer..??
If yes then get yourself a 10mm socket and take the intake grate off for starters..
Then find the sharpest knife you can and start cutting through the rope..
(cut it from front to rear..)
Forget about trying to save the rope its toast already..!!
As for any damage you should get lucky and not have done anything to the pump area..??
You'll need to inspect it once the rope is out..
The key here is a sharp knife..!!
Also take it easy with the socket when removing the intake grate bolts those little bolts can shear easily..
If the rope has managed to get entangled in the impeller then the pump will have to come out..
Get that intake grate off first and report back..?

sucking something up...
yeah you never know whats going to enter the pump and either reflect away or pass through getting chopped up by the impeller.I had to limp back to the dock this wknd, i couldn't get my rpms above 4000 and speed 12mph.I had pulled over and when i suspected the pump was clogged with seaweed/mussels,I turned off ski ,pull lanyard, put my hand in the grate , nothing.I saw no warning codes, impeller was turning and sure enough.......
a f*cking branch locked on to the blade, i saw this when i had it back on the trailer .I pulled the pump out to take a look and see if there was any damage to blade or pump liner.Definitly effected the prop to spin, everythings ok now

I was able to cut all the rope out this afternoon without removing anything. It cranked right up. Hopefully I didn't bend anything. I guess I will give it a water run on Saturday.
Thanks for all the words of wisdom.

If you have to take any of the bolts off the pump make sure to heat them first or they may snap or the inserts may spin!
