    Flywheel bolts

    What size are the bolts to use to pull flywheel? And what method to pull- just tighten main bolt and hit with hammer or use impact wrench? 92 sl650

    A normal craftsman puller always worked for me. I just tighten it and give the big screw some lovin' with a baby sledge. . .POP

    Be careful not to put the bolts to far into the flywheel! you could damage the Stator!! Z

    This puller will work! ( see pic) but it needs to be a good unit! I blew up my harbor freight one! and Addicted is correct a few taps will help it release! kind of violently!

    I just use the style Randy has, turn the bolt and with a mighty CRACK it's off.

    Yeah man, not all of us have a FLEET of polari to justify that puller
