Anti cavitation cone?
Is anyone using one on the FZR,S or SHO?
Do they work as advertised, especially on holeshot?

I think a lot of it depends on what kind of power you are putting out. My ski had it on with the stock pump. We did some testing and it seemed that I saw 1.5 miles per hour gain when I had it on. I only had it on for a short time though and other things could have played into this gain. My past experience has shown me that usually they are a waste but who knows. I seemed to get less cavitation by going with the skat long blade impeller. Either way, the veins of my pump are jacked up. Seadoo pump will be in on thursday.

have 2009 FZR with 25 hrs on it , stock std , cavitates very badly on high load/ power from standing start. Not very impressed with this as was same when new. Finally ordered some parts , power filter kit,. manifold upgrade, pump cone. Removed pump and speced impellor clearance 13 thou manual says 13 to 18 thou, looks to much gap to me. Sent pump away to have std impellorr built up on return measured about 5 thou clearance.
fitted all the gear. cut the syphon tube down in nozzle leaving about 8mm.
Cut both rear rubbers in half
Time to test ride.
pulled out of the hole with ease , full throttle from standing start , no cavitating at all detected, response will mods fantastic over stock.
No more mods planned tis enough power keeping reliability.
Thrilled with the mods.

My conversion should be up and running by the end of the month....only due to me going on vacation before it got here. I'm going with a seadoo pump. You have to use an adapter made by Jet Draft and have a drive shaft made up to fit the Yammi. Impeller is a standard 15/22r seadoo impeller. I'm going to try it as is and then tweak from there. I'm hoping for little to no cavitation and killer acceleration. Top speed is fun but getting there as quickly as possible is more fun. Results will be in my thread when it gets installed. Everything is already ripped apart. Already fitted the new drive shaft and it fits in the ski perfect. I have high hopes for this one.
