    RXP-X 08 looking to mod

I'm looking to mod my RXP-X in the next couple of weeks. What I'm worried about is most of the stage kits advertise X mph. I could really care less about top speed, I want acceleration! Better top end is always nice but I don't want to sacrifice any hookup or acceleration. I also like it to hook well in slight chop.

What is the best things to do with my goals in mind?

First step would probably get a different intake grate, Air intake, and maybe fiddle around with your prop.

Worx grate seems to be the choice if you are looking for better hole shot and hookup.

If you don't whant less acceleration don't change the impeller in this moment. Don't change the nozzle.

1- intake grate (add 3mph top end speed):

2- 4'' kanaflex air filter (my suggestion is - link):
    http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...oducts_id=1441

3- riva pump angle (add mph).

4- free flow exaust (add acceleration ant better trottle response):
    http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...roducts_id=751

    Gain:
    ------
Your stock: 68mph (1/3 fuel tank).
With these modifications: 73mph (1/3 fuel tank).

Don't change the impeller untill install/change supercharger impeller and injectors (50lbs). Don't install only the solas 15/22R impeller without install the riva stage 1 nozzle. This will start the cavitation problems.

More modifications in greenhulk forum! Read and select the mods you whant and your $$$ possibilities.

i wont argue with you but if he dont do some sorta repitch w/ the air intake + wedge alone will prob. put him on the limiter. i too vote for the stock prop as i have seen it performs just as good w/ a little pitch work as my 15/22

your best bet is to just leave it stock and you'll be a much richer man.... from here it never stops!!

Thanks for the great advice guys!!!

I have two more questions. Are there any drawback from a pump wedge?

Also what's the difference between the r&d intake grate and the worx.

Again I really appreiate the advice

drawback to a wedge? i thought it made my ski turn like a truck, but it definitely got the nose up outa the water and some more speed!

1st version r&d is good for flat water speed and helps prevent the "buck" but doesnt hook up quite as good in the chop

the worx (IMO) hooks up much much better
