    Who likes their R & D rideplate?

Who likes this plate on their FZR/S ski.
Do they think it performs better for turning/speed in small chop and flat water than the stock plate?
Do you think it adds a true 2-3 ontop of stock for top end?
Any other comments about this plate, I can get it locally this week so don't have to wait for other plates.

    Cheers guys.

my friend purchased one and hated it he installed the standard one back on the ski, i then tried it as he offered to me for sale and my opinion was the same, i think 2-3mph increase is optomistic to say the least
he then sold it on ebay

Yep, I have heard its a love/hate plate.

Good flat water, no good in the chop.
I ride 75% of the time in choppy stuff, so I will best stay with stock plate for now.

Cheers for the feed back everyone, I will stick with my stock plate and save the money towards an ECU.

For flat water riding the R&D plate was good. Its a speed plate. There has been good results obtained with the VX plate also but I have not tried one.

My riding is 10% flat water and the rest lakes and ocean. I tried various shims front and back but was not happy with its handling and loss of hook up in chop.

I now use the WORX ride plate... less speed but terrific hook up and handling in rough water. Intend to do some testing with it when the weather improves.
