I have a 04 rxp, and I needed to put a new s/c. i ordered a new s/c and im waiting for that to come straight from seadoo. so currently i have the s/c out of it. I did a oil change last night and i pumped the oil, no problem. I change the oil filter and then I put more oil in. it wasnt registering on the dip stick. I figured the motor needed a little whille to settle to the bottom. This morning I check it, nothing on dipstick again. I tilt the jetski up and and oil poured out from under the motor. does anyone know if there is a drain plug or anything crazy underneth the moto that could be leaking?

Check the how to section on oil changes, its got lots of helpful information. To get you started though, the first thing you need to understand is this is essentially a dry sump oil pan. That means that there is a process to getting the oil to show up properly on the dipstick. You will notice the process does involve running the engine a little, so if the SC is out, put a large piece of cardboard over the hole to help keep the oil in. The process is fairly specific but easy enough to accomplish.

the hole where the s/c used to be is dry around it, what i figured out in the last ten minutes is that the pump I used to pull the oil out has a crack in it and i didnt get to do that oil change untill almost dark, and the little bit i spilled trying to put new oil in and the oil leaking from that pump was enough to make it seem like a disaster, but im just an idiot
