Used Triton trailers, w/ or w/o title? Opinions needed...
I'm debating on picking up a used pwc trailer within the week. Local dealer has used ones, ranging from $400(no title) white kinda Sh&^* looking and $550(w/ title) Aluminum decent shape. The ones w/ title have the 12'inch wheels on it. Im told I will have to pay tax,etc.. at the DMV(not sure what else that consists of) as I will be putting a 2010 rxpx255 on the trailer( I will RARELY use the trailer, only for servicing) If I don't pick up a used one, I can get a deal on a BRAND NEW Triton(Aluminum) 12"inch wheels pwc trailer for a grand that will come with my seadoo. So basically I will be using the trailer no more than 6 times a year. I just don't know if its a bad idea to pick up a sh&*% trailer w/o a title. Opinions?

I definately would stay away from the one without the title.
Here in Texas it's fairly easy to get an untitled trailer a new 'homebuilt' title and registered, not sure how hard it is in NC.
Trouble is there's a reason why there's no papers.
Personally, I'd jump on the used one. Seems like a deal if it is well built, and it is in good condition. Specifically look at the frame, the axle/suspension, and the skids.
You are probly looking at less than $100 to have ownership transferred.

If you were closer I would sell ou one of mine for less then their price, with a title.
Check out your local craigslist ads, you can usually find a good deal there.

Just my opinion, but if I was buying a ski that nice and that expensive I would just get the new Triton and not have to worry about anything on it. Especially if the dealer will give you a great deal on one. Good luck with whatever you do.

If you are buying a new pwc put it on a nice new triton aluminum trailer.
Would you take a hot looking girl out to dinner that looks like crap? I surely would. Why? Because I luv the whorey trampy look. My new rxpx 300, well, thats a different story and in a league of its own. My pwc deserves the best.

I have never had a title for any of my trailers?? It may be different from state to state, but in Ohio we just take them, get them weighed and may have to provide a serial number, but I don't recall doing that and you can get tags.
