    Help with ext pump!

    Well I got all the parts ready to do my ext pump! thanks to wetherby and Beerdart! but when I went to put the water tube in it was to long! so after some head scratching I figured It must be made for a wedge! so my plan of waiting on the wedge is scrapped! Zig has a wedge but doesnt know the degree? any ideas PN 5432841 Thanks Z

    Chuck that bad boy up in the lathe and turn down the water exit end (.875) back this will give you the extra room you need and still will fit if and when you install the wedge. P/N 5432841.

    Great so you got your pump setup now... one less competition on ebay.. but alas I am still looking for mine as I missed extended pump auction #2

    I wound up buying mine from one of are used PWC parts guys on this site! 200.00 with shaft but not extended! I just got all the parts together for the extended!My 92 used an obsolete pump so I had to replace everything! you'll get it! Z

    Thanks for ID' ing the wedge Beer dart! And the all thread was slick! were you going to locktite the acorns on?

    I would Loc-tite the Housing end and use flat and lock washers under the acorns.

    I went with locktiting the acorns, ( mostly cause I was done before I saw this! ) The housing is threaded so deep I wanted to have all that adjustment left for the wedge or whatever?
    But I can see the convenience in the other way also! Hopefully I won't have to pull it very often! these pumps seem very durable,and with all new internals hopefully it will run good for a while! Thanks again Dart!
