    GP800R top end compatible with XLT 1200?

    Are cylinders & pistons out of a 2002 GP800R cross compatible with my 2001 XLT 1200? I belive they are both powervalve engines, need a new cylinder with matchin piston.

    800 (66E) cylinders are different, the ports and compression are different.

    The Pistons are the same though.
