Remove exhaust resonator
How is this done on a 2008 150 speedster SCIC?

On a ski we just put a piece of stainless pipe where the resonator goes. Do you have a pic of it? Not sure if they look the same on a boat.

Be advised though, it will Drone VERY Loud at Various RPM's. So much so, that you won't be able to have a Conversation or Hear anyone in the Boat.
...but it does Sound good. VERY Bass'y.

i did the same thing on my boat had it as tight as i could get it and it came off 2 times when it comes off the motor dies and you have a 3in hole with a lot of water comeing in your boat. not fun to fix on the water

I've done it, but I haven't yet had a problem with it coming loose, knock-on-wood.
I stuck in two 45 degree silcone ells, one at the water box, the other where the resonator was, to angle the exhaust pipe back to give me room for the intercooler.
When I am sitting at idle, it is quiet because the exhaust is under water. From idle to planning up to about 30 mph or so, it is pretty loud, beyond that wind noise overwhelms it.
The loudest resonance is around 3000 RPM.
You can definitely hear the difference, but it isn't prohibitive. My wife didn't even notice it.
