Thread: What Hull For My Project
09-30-2006, 07:59 AM #1
Project 1995 SLT Triple Pipe 785
I have a 1992 SL Hull A 1994 SL Hull and a 1995 SLT Hull
What would be the better hull to drop in a modified 750 engine into with extended pump. I am looking for good performance and top speed.

beerdart, none of the above. I think you should buy my gutted 96 SLX 780 hull! Seriously, it might depend upon what kind of water you run in. I would think that the SLT hull would be more stable and quicker in rougher water. The SL hulls would be more agile and lighter so in smoother waters, I would assume faster but????? If it were me, I would use the SLT because like you, most of my other skis are the SL style of hull.

I would have to agree I think. The SLT is probably going to be more all-around fun for ya, again, depending on your riding conditions.

Matrix Man saw this and said he would sell you a running, freshly rebuilt Pro 785 motor, pipes and carbs for your project at a very fair price. He said to dump it all in the SLT!!! (I'M NOT KIDDING EITHER, HE'S GOT THE STUFF!!!)
