    Newbie with 750 sl Hesitation

    Hello all,
Newbie to the site but i love it already. i have read and read, lots of good stuff but still not sure qwhere to start. Have a '95 750 sl that is running lean. runs great at idle, and wot, but whne i give it gas... i have juke the choke just a bit, then she takes off.
Still using auto oiler, want to switch that this season to premix. Installed the hi-flow triple outlet fuel pump last season but that didn't fix the problem. had the carbs rebuilt by a reputable shop right after i bout the unit in '03'. Still using the separator, as far as i know, still original fuelines etc. not sure what the pop of is or how to check it at this point. so the question is :
should i dive right in and rebuild the carbs? i'm pretty good mechanically, rebuilt car carbs b4, but this would be my first attempt or....
ar ther other adjustments/maintenance(e.g.fuel lines?) i should try first??

thanks in advance for your help!!!

    jim

    Welcome to the Hulk.

Carbs were rebuilt 7 years ago. It's time for another rebuild.

Only this time, replace the fuel lines, and prob the petcock too. Due to age.

Keep pop off the same as stock, providing you haven't done any mods to the air intake regardless of age.
