Curious about R2 reflash on a stock FZR/S

Has anyone put a R2 reflash on a stock boat? What RPM were you turning if you have tried it.
I know the supporting mods need done to get the full potential but curious what it would do to a stocker.

Are you planning more boost than a C1? If not, might as well go R1.

I have been interested in this as well as a buddy brought home an 09 FZR. I think R2, ribbon removal, intake, exhaust and a prop would be pretty interesting.

    And cheap too.

On a stock bike, sounds like the stock prop works the best for all around performance with the R2 reflash

Funny you say that. I have an R2, C3 with a stock IC and due to a problem with my 160mm setup, I stuck my stock prop and liner back in her (that's the only thing I have to make her run). Aside from the cavitation out of the hole, she seems really fast on top. No time to GPS her as I partied all weekend and really need to finger-out how to add fuel with the Powershot at WOT as she was running lean (only rode her for a lap around the lake). Was pulling some good RPM's too. Need to re-install my PET tach, add some fuel and see what she does.

But holy cow it seemed fast.

Funny how the 160 prop and liner makes her feel more "planted" or tight though. It must suck her down in the water.

Yep. 160 liner will slow you down but I noticed MUCH better hookup with it.

C3 or B1 wheel eventually but want to do some mods that are simple and quick and then get into the ski more in the off season(winter).

Yea, but I'd be worried about the pump in general. If it can barely take little mods. Its not gonna handle even more over the R1. Thus my debate.
