I had a similar problem with a wave venture 1100. If you went WOT while running on the hose it would backfire shooting flames through the carbs. It would also hesitate and die if you gunned it from ¼ throttle. My problem was that it was running lean on both the high and low speed circuits. I richened it up and the ski runs fine.

you shouldn`t give any ski WOT on the hose...
The EFI skis run like crap out of the water, on the hose, on the trailer...
your mods might exaggerate this normal condition...

+1 You can blip the throttle a little bit while its on the hose but you don't need to over rev it.

Thats normal. The GPR's always run rough out of the water and on the hose.
