    Brackets on stock plate

Yesterday when i switched plates on my fzr i noticed that the stock plate had brackets on each side. What is the purpose of these? Are they shims? Do they need to be transfered to the new plate?

Those steel spacers between the ride plate and the hull are to remain in space. If your talking about the steel brackets connected to your pump in the rear, they are to stay in place also for structural support.
