    taking in water

I noticed yesterday, that if i pull back on the rubber boot on the driveshat, that water comes in. is this normal? I don't think that the boot would be pulled back as I was doing while riding.

the carbon piece at the end of the rubber boot pushes against the metal piece on the drive shaft to make a water tight seal. If you pull the boot back (which holds the carbon piece) it breaks the seal and water can come in. If it does not leak while riding it is doing what it is supposed to do. (that is unless you hold the rubber boot back while riding )

Make sure when ever you run it on the hose for more than a couple of minutes that you dribble water on the carbon seal. You can damage it if you don't. If it comes apart while riding it is a serious situation.
