    x charger in 2005 rxp 215

It's been a while since I have been on the site, but the x charger was just coming out and every body was trying to figure out how to run it on the 215's.

From the posts I have read I need a RRFPR to go with the 42's that I already have.

My mods are in my sig and I am running on the stock ECU. I wanted to put in an S3 but riva no longer makes it.

Here is the question, has an average base pressure been established? I know tuning can vary with altitude and alot of other factors. I am in central Alabama at about 500 feet above sea level.

I was going to use the s3 charger because you could set it up and forget it.

If I install an x charger and a RRFPR will i spend more time tuning than riding?

i don't want to shell out the cash for an o2 meter either.

Will you be running a ext intercooler with the setup? If not then you won't need the rrfpr.

He already has an external cooler. The x-charger with an external cooler needs arrfpr and 42's

With the external IC... you will definitely need 42's & a RRFPR... and possibly a walbro fuel pump for the regulator to rise properly. The list never seems to end

The list ends as soon as you add the Riva Pro series ECU, Riva valve train upgrade and some 50lb injectors.

i live in North Alabama,Guntersville Lake is where i ride most of time. I have my rrfpr set at around 63,give or take, and it runs great. Although i dont hold it wide open for long period, it must be set pretty close because ive hade it on about a year now with no problems. I also had the green charger before and this x-charger makes this 04 alot stronger from take off to top end. Not sure about speed,I'de say around 75,but rpm has been 8100 since day 1.

    bystronicman,
I am running in lake Martin so the only time you can hold it wide open for very long is early in the morning or during the week.

Sounds like you have the same setup as I do. I am a little low on RPM's with the 15/20 (unpitched) and the greenwheel 7900.

I was thinking the x charger would bump the rpm's up where they need to be.

Are you running the stock nozzle and have you had that 15/20 pitched?

    Thanks Ocman,

I think I am about to pull the trigger on the x- charger.
The sc I have now is due for a complete rebuild and I cant think of a better excuse.
I may be calling on some tuning advice soon.
