    only 69.1 with a stage I

    I finally GPS'd my 05 RXP yesterday.

The fastest I could get was 69.1 with 2 bars of fuel left and really smooth water. My elevation is 2200 ft.

The ski has the stage I w/ OPAS blockoffs and Riva spoonsons.

It has 59 hours and the wear ring was replaced 15 hours ago.

    Shouldnt it be faster?

btw I weigh 260lbs if that matters

it is critical to know your RPMs that are held constant at top speed...

also, are your porpoising at all?

With a new wear ring you should pitch your prop to run 8100 rpms

Those RPM seem kinda low, but then again you're at a higher elevation, so that could be the cause of some RPM and speed loss.

What were your GPS #'s stock?

Repitching the prop is on my list for winter upgrades.

I bought the ski used with all the upgrades already done, so Im not sure on the stock #'s

All that will happen over the winter, how do I know for sure if my SC is slipping?

Even without the holes filled and the rev. trimmed shouldnt it still be over 69?

A friend of mine has an 05RXP with Riva grate, air intake, thermo kit and pro series block offs.He has a best of 71.3 at 8150 but that is in salt water and he is only about 170-180lbs. For your elavation above sea level and obviously on fresh water I think your numbers are not bad.Taking a bit of pitch out of your prop to get up to 8150 may just get you to 70.
