part that hose to oil catch can attaches to?

    08 RXT-X.

I pulled my SC the other day to send to Jerry. Unfortunately, I had to pull the part above the SC as well. It is the plastic piece that has a ball and spring in it. The piece in question attaches to the hose that goes to my catch can.

What is that part? (I looked at the online fiche but could not find it.)

Also, does the spring go between that part and the motor? The spring popped out when I pulled the part.

    Thanks as always!

That is your vent valve. About 50 bucks.
It should be in the cylinder assembly fishc.
It is easier to access supercharger top bolt on that model with that valve not in the way, but dont take it apart, just remove the 2 bolts and remove the entire assembly from head.

You were right, Skoepp. (As usual!)

    Thanks for the info.

I had already pulled it apart (DOH)

What's another $50 in the grand scheme of things, right?

My skis are like the movie The Money Pit.......

I'll make you feel better.......while fitting the Riva IC re-locate kit and not being able to attach the rubber bands....I removed the damn thing in a hurry. One of the t-bolt clamps caught the wiring of the TPS and I proceeded to rip the top right off of it. Cost to replace....$187.
