    01 gp1200r impeller spacer

Hey Guys, I bought a 01 gp1200 and the guy had just had a ned drive shaft put in it.... first time out ski cranked but would not move. after pulling the pump apart i found that when the impeller was reinstalled they left out the spacer that goes between the impeller and the pump vein......does anyone know if I can just pick up a certian size washer or if i need to order this from the dealer..any help would be great..Thanks

with the pump out does the impeller spin free? does it hit the hub when you spin it?

I've known a handful of guys who have run without that washer....poor mans setback...

If everything spins free even without the washer then your problem lies elsewhere...

    good points...

about the washer... when you run without one, the impeller can dig into the driveshaft and pretty much lock itself in place making it almost impossible to remove the impeller
