How many hours is too many for a RXP??
I have found a 06 RXP For Sale and it has 92hrs on it. Its bone stock in excellent shape. Is that too many hours should I be nervous buying it? I wanna mod it so is there anything I should look for? Thanks

The hrs are fine...low in fact.
Is the sc in good shape. Has it sucked up a coupla ceramic washers?
The last is what you should be asking yourself.

As far as the motor having 92 hours on it, that is nothing....I have seen 4tecs go 1000 hours.

My 07 rxt has like 93 on it and runs amazing. But like Va said see if it has the upgraded washers if not have that be your first mod..

Regardless of condition since its near 100 hours a SC rebuild is recommended from what Ive read on here(and by Sea-Doo), can be done with parts for about $400 with Jerry doing the work and you pull it off yourself, just consider that into the price of the ski.

92 hours is nothing, i have 300 on my 04 RXP.
Buy it and put a complete brand new X supercharger instead of rebuilt the SC.
650$ on Jerry's store

test run it at the sale...you should see 8000 or more rpms. If you don't then walk away. If you do, then DO NOT RUN IT AGAIN after you buy it. You will be tempted to show it off. Dont do it. Pull the s/c and put it up on ebay and do like the guys said and buy jerry's xcharger. THEN show it off
And don't let your friends take it for a spin UNLESS they are willing to trade you keys and have a Harley that YOU can take out for a spin. My std answer is "Sure, toss me the keys to your Harley so I can go for ride". Shuts em the fk up.

No prob on the hours, as far as RPM's go you should be seeing 7800-8000 RPM's on a bone stock ski depending on weather conditions..... get some very humid/hot air coupled with very warm water and you will likely only see around 7800..... get some crisp air and cooler water and you may see 8000+ Only in the very best conditions have I seen over 8000 RPM on my RXP, I have gotten over 70mph on 2 different handheld GPS units with good weather on my bone stock ski...... RPM's were in the very high 7900- low 8000 range.
