    Old Gas

    I have a little dilemma. I am getting my 98XPL back on the water after 3 yrs of sitting. My question is, what to do with the gas that is in there. I starts no problem, and it doesn't smell like junk yard juice. There is probably about 8 gallons in there, which had stable in it. I was thinking of filling it with new gas and adding an octane booster and hopefully burn it out. What do you guys think my best approach is.

    i would suggest pumping it out with a fluid extractor or even a simple siphon hose. even with the price of gas today i think that you best bet is to remove as much of the 3year old fuel as possible and start off fresh, it will probably be cheaper in the long run.
