They say a picture is worth 1000 words...so...
These pictures were taken from a customers carb rack sent in for rebuilding. The outside of the carbs are IMMACULATE! ( the internals tell a different story )

How do you keep gas from sitting in your carbs without a fuel shutoff.
My tripple has no way of shutting the fuel off so I can run the Novis dry.

Try running a Gas Stabilizer in your fuel when you know you are going to put your ski up for the winter. Such as Sta-Bil or AMSOIL.
AMSOIL Gas Stabilizer
I hope this helps.

No not this time.
When I bought the 99 these check valves burned down the motor after my first tank of gas I rebuilt the carbs after that.
Heres a good check valve.
I rebuild carbs every 2 years now just incase.

I've determined that any used ski purchase should be followed by immediate removal of carbs for inspection before your first ride.
Although I got a good price on my ski, I pulled my carbs before my first ride aside from my test ride and found one of my carb filters to be about 60% clogged.
