I believe your boat only has 3 fuses. The other three are just spares. Not sure why you have a 30 in there think thats over kill? Check ur owners manual

You should have a 15 (charging system) a 7.5 (VTS) and a 5 (MPEM) in the MPEM itself.

There is also a 15 in the electrical box.

No 20s and dang sure no 30s should ever be anywhere near that boat.

The parts finder only shows those three and I do not feel like pulling the cover off mine. I thought it had one too but I may be mixing the XPL up with our RX and GTX.

The GTX shows a 3amp in there but not on the XPL. I would think that 3amps would not be enough for the bilge circut and the RX and GTX do not have a pump though they do show that 3amp fuse. Thus, I kind of think it is for the MFD which both boats do have where the XPL does not. I could trace it down in the manual which I may do when I have some time.

Either way, his '00 should not have a 20 or 30 in it. Either someone was trying to make it stop blowing them (and did so in the worst possible way, rather than fixing the problem) or they needed a fuse and just stuck what-the-hell-ever in there that happened to be laying around (again, not the best way to do it).

This is Green Hulk. Who needs clues when we have boats to look at

They should be, from top to bottom a 15amp, a 5amp, a 7.5amp, two blanks with nothing in them, and then on the very bottom the mysterious 3amp (a mystery because the parts fiche does not show it but the manual does, and more importantly, the boat-which can not lie).

    15-blue
    5-orange
    7.5-red/brown
    blank
    blank
    3-purple

The colors are universal. A 30 is green and a 20 is, I think, yellow.

The 3amp is listed as the Acc. fuse. The wiring diagram is not clear as to just what that involves. I may have time to pull the fuse and see what does not work but I am not going to mess with it at 11pm. This may have been discussed before but for the life of me I can not remember what the heck that fuse does.

Thus, it may well cover that bilge pump circut, but one would still think that would draw more than a 3amp fuse could cover.

Anyway, that is what is on my boats (all three of them '99+ 947s which are the same MPEM).

i run bilges in both my skiis, set up with a manual on/off switch and 2 amp in-line fuses, so i would imagine that the 3 amp is good for the bilge circuit.
