    true 4 inch intake

Can you run a true 4 inch straight pipe to the charger or is that to much air?
I'm running the kanaflex 4 inch but well all know it has ridges and therefore not a true 4inch inside diameter.
I would like to just get a staight pipe from the filter then a 90 bend to the charger but should I got 3.5 inside diameter or is 4 inside diameter ok?

    Thank you for any thoughts

If you want you can use 5" the motor takes the air that he needs. The 4" is the minimum that is good to use.

I don't think you can get much better than a riva rear air or kanaflex guzzler setup bro.

Sure.....you can piece together a true 4" intake with SS tubing and assorted connectors & clamps from Silicone Intake. The kanaflex set up is good b/c its flexible.....

Why wouldn't you just take the above and come right off the super charger and stick a filter on top. $38 plus a coupling and a filter and your good to go. Each bend costs you air velocity, the less bends the better IMO.

Because it sucks in straight engine heat.

I knew that was comming. But I've seen several pics of very fast boats with there intakes like that. Maybe they have underseat vents?

So basically if the air is say in only comming from the vent tubes in the front your getting some heating affect from the air passing around the engine then into the filter.

Do you have an idea of what kind of temp difference and boost difference of doing it each way?

Here is pic about 3/4 down the page of an intake setup

    Here's my 5" to 3" rear air.

So.....of course you can go bigger than a Kana 4" front.

Imo Don't think you can get much better than this. Completely sealed only fresh air coming in.
